PlanMyPickle ("we," "us," "our") operates the PlanMyPickle pickleball tournament platform at planmypickle.com and app.planmypickle.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account & registration details you provide: name, email address, mobile phone number, and (optionally) your skill or DUPR rating.
Tournament data: the events you organize or register for, division, match results, and check-in status.
Basic technical data needed to operate the service (e.g., authentication tokens).

How we use your information

To run tournaments you organize or play in — brackets, scheduling, check-in, scoring, and standings.
To send you account and tournament communications, including SMS text alerts about your match times and court assignments (see below).
To process registration fees where applicable.

SMS / text messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with anyone for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as our SMS delivery provider, is permitted solely to deliver the messages you requested.

Opt-in (express consent): You opt in by checking an SMS consent checkbox — unchecked by default — when you create an account or register for a tournament and provide your mobile number. Consent is not a condition of using the service.
What we send: transactional event alerts only — match alerts, court assignments, score-confirmation requests, and event reminders for tournaments you organize or have registered for.
Message frequency varies and depends on tournament activity — typically only on event days when your matches are about to start.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
Mobile phone numbers and messaging consent are used solely to deliver these service alerts and are not used for marketing.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform (for example, our cloud hosting, database, and SMS delivery provider), and only as needed to provide the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & local storage

PlanMyPickle uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage — the kind required to make the app work. We do not use any analytics, advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no tracking to opt out of. The essential storage we use is:

Sign-in session — your login is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits.
Payments — when you pay through our checkout, Stripe sets strictly-necessary cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.
Notifications — if you turn on push notifications, our provider stores a token in your browser so we can deliver match and event alerts. This is only set after you grant permission.

Because we run no non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings, and you can turn off push notifications through your browser or device.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account and event records are active, and apply reasonable safeguards to protect it.

Your choices

You may opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and you may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
